Do the products contain harsh preservatives?

No.  Posha skincare is packaged in airless containers designed to keep the ingredients fresh and protected from exposure to bacteria and oxygen, so as to avoid the use of harsh preservatives. We use a combination of plant extracts and vitamins as natural preservatives, such as blends of tocopherols.

    What about cleansing?

The only imperative is to wash your face at night to remove grime and makeup. In the morning it is also important to re-clean, even with just a splash of water, because the sleep cycle has enabled cell regeneration, tending to accumulate more waste and dead cells on the surface of the skin. The point of cleansing really isn't stripping and scrubbing the skin. Detoxifying the skin starts with cleansing - a cleanser that is right for your skin type. Cleansing rids the skin of dirt, excess natural skin oils, bacteria and cosmetics and increases cell turnover; this helps your skin breathe and allows the active ingredients to better penetrate, more effectively.

    What's the win-win with exfoliation?

Exfoliation is a win-win scenario; it makes skin both healthier looking and receptive to the active ingredients in our skin care products. You do not have to grind away at your skin until its red. Chemical exfoliants rely on acids (glycolic, salicylic or lactic) to loosen dead skin cells and sweep them away.  Mix it up, there are various types of exfoliants - some very effective in removing acne-causing agents.  Exfoliate once to twice a week.

Is there such a thing as "Beauty Sleep?"

Early in the nighttime sleep cycle, people typically have a surge in growth hormone. This growth hormone helps repair and rebuild body tissues.  Many of the body’s cells also show increased production and reduced breakdown of proteins during deep sleep. Since proteins are the building blocks needed for cell growth and for repair, a deep snooze may truly be “beauty sleep.”  Cell division happens throughout the day, but peaks around 2am.  This peak of activity serves to regenerate, repair and rebuild the stratum corneum, i.e. the protective barrier of skin that stops external aggression.  Moreover, during the sleep, our blood circulation improves, helping to eliminate toxins, and making the skin most receptive to nutrients.... Hence, the night hours of rest become an excellent time to treat facial skin!

Are your products for all skin type?

Our products are designed to balance and restore radiance to mature, dry, normal, sensitive and combination skin. Some clients have had great results on acne prone skins, but we recommend you consult your dermatologist if you have skin condition like adult acne or eczema.

Does your facial oil cause break-outs?

Both carrier and essential oils have their own preferred uses and benefits for different types of skin issues. We use oils that have wonderful anti-aging benefits known to soothe acne and flaky, dry skin.
